Key Quotes
Head coach Tom Black
On two consecutive wins and what he is proud on…
"It's probably how we started. I thought we were pretty dominant. The first set of people came off the bench, did a great job, and then I'm proud of how we responded after the third set. However, planning not to make a mistake for some stretches. That set, we got our aggressiveness back. So, I was proud of the mentality switch."

On the message he gave the team after losing the third set…
"We were playing not to lose. I thought we were serving not to miss, blocking not to get tooled, passing not to shank. It's just not going to work that way. That's not how we're successful. So just cutting that out, seeing the opportunity, attacking the points, and just competing. I think the team did a good job."

Sophomore Bianna Muoneke
On the mentality after dropping the third set...
"I think it was just don't let up. We've been in this situation so many times. The games that we have lost, we were down and we stayed in that rut, but after that set, we were like, 'We're not letting up. We're not letting this happen again. We're going to get out of this.' And like I said earlier, we had team talks about how to get out of our heads faster, so I think we did a really good job of that. And after that set, we were like, 'Nope, we're not letting this happen again.'"

On how important it is for her to be a leader on both sides of the ball...
"I just use that same aggression that I go up to when I hit on defense too because, honestly, volleyball is just a game of are you going to go for it; are you going to go for that big swing; are you going to go for that big dig; and that's the mentality that I have back there."
