Muoneke's 23 Kills Lift No. 25 Georgia to Five-Set Win Over UCSB

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Sophomore outside hitter Bianna Muoneke led the 25^th-ranked Georgia volleyball team to a five-set win over UC Santa Barbara in Friday's season opener (20-25, 25-13, 25-16, 27-29, 15-13).

Muoneke, a transfer from Texas A&M, tallied a career-high 23 kills on a .438 hitting efficiency with 10 digs and two blocks with two aces, tallying 26 points in her Georgia debut.

Transfers Muoneke (23 kills, 11 digs) and Erykah Lovett (8 kills, 11 digs) made their Georgia debuts on Friday, both starting in the match.
Sophomore Muoneke recorded a new career-best 23 kills in her debut. Along with 10 digs, she picked up her ninth career double-double.
Graduate Lovett tallied 11 digs, good enough for her 47^th-career double-digit dig match. Senior libero Bailey Cox co-led the team with Lovett, her 53^rd-career double-digit dig match.
Graduate Sophie Fischer topped the double-digit kill mark with 10, her 46^th-career double-digit kill match.
Trailing 12-7 in the third set, Georgia used a timeout. After the break, the Bulldogs won 18 of the next 22 points to win the set 25-16.
As a team, Georgia tallied 13 aces with three each from Ana Julia Bleeker, Clara Brower, and Fischer. Muoneke and Lovett added two apiece.
