Georgia Earns 21 CSCAA Scholar All-America Honors

ATHENS, Ga. – The University of Georgia men's and women's swimming and diving teams continued a tradition of strong academic success as they received 21 Scholar All-America citations from the College Swimming & Diving Coaches Association of America Wednesday morning.
The women's program received 10 First Team and three Second Team honors, while the men's team earned six First Team and two Second Team accolades. Graduate Millie Sansome earned her fifth career citation, while senior Meghan Wenzel was recognized for the fourth time. Fifth-year Zoie Hartman and juniors Abby McCulloh, Briana Roberson, and Rachel Stege were each honored for the third time.
Alongside the veterans honored, four freshmen: Matthew Bray, Michelle Cummo, Helena Jones, and Tomas Koski opened their careers with citations. Additionally, the men's and women's teams were both named Scholar All-America Teams for the spring semester with the women posting a department-best 3.65 GPA and the men turning in a 3.03 GPA.
To qualify for First Team Scholar All-America, student-athletes must have earned a GPA of 3.5 or higher and participated in their national championship. Second Team selections must have also earned a 3.5 GPA or higher and met a "B" time standard or qualified for a diving zone meet.
