Don honored for fifth time during stellar career

ATHENS, Ga. — Four Georgia Bulldogs – Caterina Don, Napat "Jenny" Lertsadwattana, Kate Song and Natachanok "Drive" Tunwannarux – have been named to the Women's Golf Coaches Association's All-American Scholar Team for the 2023-24 season, the WGCA announced on Monday.

The criteria for selection to the All-American Scholar Team are some of the most stringent in college athletics and continue to demonstrate the high-level academic achievements for the nation's women's golfers. To be selected, a student athlete must:

• Have an overall cumulative grade point average of 3.50 or higher.
• Be an amateur and on the team's roster through the conclusion of the 2023-24 season.
• Have played in 50 percent of the team's competitive rounds during the year through its conference championship.

All told, 1,497 golfers from 412 programs received All-American Scholar recognition for the 2023-24 season.

For Georgia, 27 golfers have been recognized a combined 51 times since the award's inception in 1991. Don and Lertsadwattana both were recognized for the fifth time, including Lertsadwattana's four seasons at New Mexico before transferring to Georgia. Song was honored for the second time, including previously at Mercer during the 2021-22 season. Tunwannarux, a freshman, was honored for the first time.
