Larry, Rush Earn Second Team All-SEC Honors On Day Two of SEC Outdoor Championships

GAINESVILLE, Fla. --- Micah Larry and Ella Rush collected podium finishes and Second Team All-Southeastern Conference honors to lead a group of five Georgia scorers on the second day of the SEC Outdoor Championships on Friday.
The Bulldog track and field teams continued to increase their point totals on day two, with the men's team landing in sixth with 27 points and the women collecting 21 total points for eighth place through eight of the meet's 21 events. Seven Georgia runners also earned qualifications for Saturday's finals, led by four 400-meter dash runners combined between the men's and women's teams.

- Larry soared from fourth to second place on his final long jump attempt, posting a season best mark of 7.80 meters/25 feet, 7.25 inches. The jump marked his best as a Bulldog and allowed him to earn a silver medal and Second Team All-SEC honors in his first outdoor championship meet. Larry now holds the No. 10 mark in program history in the event.
- Rush totaled 5,606 points in the heptathlon, a new personal best, to secure third place and Second Team All-SEC honors. The native of Repton, U.K., posted PRs in each of the heptathlon's final three events to secure bronze, highlighted by a victory in the long jump with a mark of 6.20m/20-4.25.
- Alexander Kolesnikoff recorded a throw of 19.77m/64-10.50 on his opening attempt in the shot put, claiming fourth place to score for the Bulldogs. The graduate student posted a new season best while improving his No. 8 mark on the program's all-time top-10 list.
- Wesley John clocked a time of 9:02.13 in the 3,000m steeplechase to place fifth for Georgia. The graduate student tallied four points in the Bulldogs' final men's running event of the evening.
- Kelsie Murrell-Ross captured fifth place in the shot put to score in her SEC Outdoor Championship debut. The junior posted a mark of 17.23m/56-6.50 on her opening attempt to secure four points for the Lady Bulldogs.
