Georgia Falls for Florida in SEC Tournament Slugfest, 9-4

AUBURN, Ala. – The 14^th-ranked Georgia softball team fell to No. 8 Florida in the quarterfinal round of the SEC Tournament on Friday at Jane B. Moore Field, 9-4.

Fast Facts
• The Bulldogs and Gators combined to hit six home runs, three each. 11 of the 13 combined runs were scored via home runs in the game.
• Emily Digby's two-run home run in the top of the fifth was the sixth home run of her rookie season.
• Jayda Kearney and Sara Mosley hit back-to-back home runs in the top of the sixth. The pair did the same thing in game two against the Gators on April 27 in Athens.
• Mosley's home run was number 62 of her career, bringing her closer to the record of 68 set by Alyssa DiCarlo.
• Kearney has moved into third all-time with 59 career home runs.
• Georgia out-hit the Gators 9-8. Three Georgia hitters recorded two hits each: Dallis Goodnight, Kearney, Digby.
