TUSCALOOSA, Ala. —  The No. 4 Georgia women's tennis team opened up its final regular season road weekend with a dominant 4-1 victory over No. 23 Alabama at the Roberta Anderson Baumgardner Tennis Facility on Friday.

The Bulldogs (13-3, 8-0 SEC) improve to 47-5 all-time against the Crimson Tide (14-5, 5-4 SEC), winning seven of the last eight meetings while extending their season winning streak to 11-matches in a row.

Georgia jumped out in front to start after securing the doubles point thanks to wins on courts two and three.

On court two, No. 35 Mai Nirundorn and Guillermina Grant struck first for the Bulldogs with a 6-2 victory over Petra Sedlackova and Anna Parkhomenko (Alabama).

With tight scores on courts one and three, it was Anastasiia Lopata and Mell Reasco who secured the doubles point with a 6-4 over Ola Pitak/Klara Milicevic (Alabama).

Heading into singles, the back end of the lineup proved to be the difference once again for Georgia.

On court five, Aysegul Mert returned to the singles lineup at the No. 5 spot and was dominant from start to finish as she cruised past Milicevic (Alabama), 6-1, 6-2 to earn her fourth dual singles win of the season.

No. 24 Dasha Vidmanova followed up for the Bulldogs with a strong finish against her opponent in No. 46 Loudmilla Bencheikh (Alabama), earning a 6-3, 6-2 win on court won.

After Georgia dropped the match on court three, Grant came up big for the Bulldogs as she won 6-4, 6-3 against Parkhomenko (Alabama) to secure the team win and pick up her fourth clinch of the season.

Georgia will remain on the road for its last regular season road match where it will take on No. 16 Auburn on Sunday, March 31 at 1 p.m. ET in Auburn, Ala.
