Football Puts Five On AP All-America Team

ATHENS, Ga. --- Georgia football had five team members included on the Associated Press (AP) All-America Team, according to an announcement Monday.
Junior OG Dylan Fairchild, junior S Malaki Starks and junior P Brett Thorson were named to the Second Team while senior OG Tate Ratledge and junior LB Jalon Walker were part of the Third Team.
There had already been two All-America squads named last week:
Walter Camp All-America (12/12): Jalon Walker, Malaki Starks – Second Team
AFCA All-America (12/13): Tate Ratledge, Jalon Walker, Malaki Starks – First Team
The Football Writers Association of America (FWAA) All-America list will be released on Tuesday and The Sporting News All-America team will arrive on Wednesday.
Georgia takes on the winner of Notre Dame and Indiana in the College Football Playoff Quarterfinal at the Allstate Sugar Bowl in New Orleans, La., on Jan. 1. ESPN will televise the matchup at 8:45 p.m. ET.
