Chambliss Earns SEC Weekly Honor

ATHENS, Ga. --- Bulldog senior linebacker Chaz Chambliss has earned Southeastern Conference weekly honors following Georgia's win versus Florida in Jacksonville, according to a league announcement Monday.
Chambliss, a native of Carrollton, Ga., was named the SEC Co-Defensive Player of the Week for the first time in his career.
Chambliss had six tackles during Georgia's fourth straight win over the Gators. He finished with 2.5 tackles for loss, including a pair of sacks. With the Bulldogs up 20-13 in the third period, Chambliss sacked Florida's quarterback Aidan Warner for a loss of three yards and forced a 3rd-and-14 situation that led to a punt. His second sack came in the Gators' final possession in the fourth quarter and put UF in a 3rd-and-17 spot.

*After the Bulldogs' week one win over No. 14 Clemson, Carson Beck was the Offensive Player of the Week and Peyton Woodring was the Special Teams Player of the Week.
*Raylen Wilson earned Defensive Player of the Week honors while Tyrion Ingram-Dawkins collected Defensive Lineman of the Week honors following the win at Kentucky.
*Jalon Walker (Co-Defensive Player of the Week) and Mykel Williams (Co-Defensive Lineman of the Week) collected accolades after Georgia's road win at No. 1 Texas.
The No. 2 Bulldogs (7-1, 5-1 SEC) travel to Oxford, Miss., to play No. 16 Ole Miss (7-2, 3-2) Saturday at 3:30 p.m. ET. ABC will televise the matchup.
