Key Quotes: "I'm happy for Thomas getting through a tough veteran opponent today," said head coach Jamie Hunt. "He played smart, disciplined and was so tough when he was dictating with his forehand. I know he's excited and ready for a rematch against [Jamie] Connel tomorrow."
"Miguel and Oscar are disappointed, but they competed hard today, and you have to give credit to their opponents. Both Miguel and Oscar have had a great fall and have improved a lot. I know they are now looking forward to the team portion of the season and are excited for the spring to get here."
Up Next: No. 14 [9-16] Thomas Paulsell will face Jamie Connel (Florida State) in the second round of action in the NCAA Singles Championships tomorrow at the Hurd Tennis Center. Paulsell's match time is TBD.
