Brown Tabbed SEC Fences Rider of the Month

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The sixth-ranked University of Georgia equestrian team's Tessa Brown has earned Southeastern Conference Rider of the Month honors following Georgia's meet against No. 3 TCU, the conference announced Thursday.
The junior was recognized for her Fences performance with a score of 87 and earned the point over her opponent's score of 77. This is the sixth MOP honor of her Bulldog career.
Brown, a Bloomfield, Connecticut native posted an overall record of 18-13-1 in Fences during the 2023-24 season. She received three Most Outstanding Performer honors her sophomore year and notched a 5-1 record at home.
The Public Relations major was named to the NCEA All-Academic First team and received APHA Academic Honor Roll recognition last season. Brown has been named to the J. Reid Parker Director of Athletics Dean's List, Presidential Scholar honoree and Honor Roll throughout her time at Georgia. She also represented the equestrian team on the SEC Winter Honor Roll in 2023.
Next, the Bulldogs will host No. 2 Southern Methodist University on Friday, Oct. 18 followed by No. 4 Texas A&M on Oct. 19 at the UGA Equestrian Complex.
