Tennessee Diving Invitational Daily Recap

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – The University of Georgia diving team concluded competition at the Tennessee Diving Invitational Friday afternoon at the Allan Jones Aquatic Center.
Senior Meghan Wenzel concluded a strong week with a fifth-place finish in the women's 1-meter final, scoring a Zone cut of 276.75. In prelims, Wenzel finished eighth with a mark of 258.35, followed by sophomore Hannah Stumpf in 14th place at 250.70 and freshman Michelle Cummo in 25th place at 219.80.
In the men's platform final, junior Allen Mann placed 11th with a score of 312.45, while fellow junior Nolan Lewis qualified for Zones with a 13th-place mark of 305.95.
The diving team will join the rest of their Georgia teammates for tomorrow's dual meet against Auburn. The Bulldogs and Tigers will face off at 11 a.m. EST in Auburn, with live coverage on SEC Network+.
Thursday, Jan. 4 - Men's 3-meter / Women's Platform
In the men's 3-meter final, freshman Matthew Bray finished seventh with a score of 349.80, improving upon his prelims mark of 347.55. Junior Nolan Lewis placed 10th with a score of 327.25, followed by fellow junior Rhett Hopkins in 12th place at 313.05. In the prelims round, junior Allen Mann finished 20th with a score of 312.35.
Senior Meghan Wenzel finished eighth in the women's platform final with a Zone cut of 232.60, while sophomore Hannah Stumpf took 32nd with a mark of 153.50.
The Tennessee Diving Invitational concludes Friday with the men's platform and women's 1-meter. Friday's session will not be streamed, but live results will be available on DiveMeets.com.
Wednesday, Jan. 3 - Men's 1-meter / Women's 3-meter
In the women's 3-meter final, senior Meghan Wenzel finished seventh with a score of 286.40. In the prelims round, Wenzel placed 11th with a mark of 267.10. Sophomore Hannah Stumpf finished 14th at 261.30, followed by freshman Michelle Cummo in 15th place with a personal-best score of 259.85.
Junior Rhett Hopkins led the men's 1-meter competition with an eighth-place score of 316.10, while freshman Matthew Bray placed 11th at 298.20. Hopkins (305.45) and Bray (304.30) both improved upon their prelims scores which placed them 11th and 12th respectively. Junior Nolan Lewis finished 19th at 279.70, followed by fellow junior Allen Mann in 28th at 245.30. Later, Bray, Hopkins, and Mann finished seventh in the team event with a score of 276.70.
