Bulldogs To Face Marquette At Atlantis

Georgia to return to Bahamas for second straight season
ATHENS, Ga. — The Georgia Bulldogs will take on Marquette in a single game at The Atlantis Paradise Island Bahamas on Saturday, November 23 next season. The matchup was announced on Friday by Complete Sports Management, which also manages the Battle 4 Atlantis Basketball Tournament.
"We are thrilled to welcome two premier men's basketball programs in Georgia and Marquette to compete on a true neutral court at The Atlantis in November," said Lea Miller, Complete Sports Management's CEO "I have had the opportunity to work with both Coach Smart and Coach White down in Paradise in the past, and I know this will be a special experience for the teams as well as their fans"
The game will be played in the evening of Nov. 24 in the Imperial Ballroom at the Atlantis Paradise Island Resort. Information on tickets and travel packages will be released at a later date.
The matchup will be the fourth all-time meeting between the Bulldogs and the Golden Eagles. Marquette won the initial meeting in the opening round of the 1974 Milwaukee Classic. The teams split matchups during the 2016-17 and 2017-18 seasons, with Marquette winning in Athens on Dec. 4, 2016, and the Bulldogs capturing a road victory the following year on Dec. 2.
