ATHENS, Ga. —
The Georgia Bulldogs tip off their 2023-24 season by facing Oregon at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas on Monday, November 6. The game is part of the Naismith Hall of Fame Series, which includes five events in November and December and was announced by Position Sports, in association with the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame, on Wednesday.

"The start of the season is obviously always exciting, but it's even more so considering we'll be playing on a national stage in a premier event like the Hall of Fame Series in Las Vegas," head coach Mike White said. "We're looking forward to the challenge of representing the SEC against Oregon, which traditionally is one of the Pac-12's top programs year in and year out."

The Las Vegas portion of the Hall of Fame Series is a quadruple-header on the opening day of the college basketball season. In addition to the matchup between the Bulldogs and Ducks, the event also will feature a men's contest between Kansas State and Southern California and women's outings of LSU versus Colorado and Ohio State against Southern California. Tickets are scheduled to go on sale in July. On-sale date, game times, fan experience information, credentials and television broadcast details will be released at a later date.

White led Georgia to a 16-16 record during his first season in Athens last winter, recording 10 more victories than the 2021-22 season. The Bulldogs' "+10" tally in the win column represented the second-biggest regular-season increase among all Power 5 basketball programs during 2022-23.

The Bulldogs' 2023-24 roster will feature four returning letterwinners and nine scholarship newcomers.

Justin Hill is Georgia's leading returnee in scoring, assists and steals. In addition, Jabri Abdur-Rahim paced the Bulldogs in 3-pointers, 3-point percentage and free throw percentage, Matthew-Alexander Moncrieffe was Georgia's leading rebounder; and Frank Anselem was the Bulldogs' top shot blocker.

Georgia's newcomers feature five transfers and four freshmen. Both groups of Bulldogs have been ranked among the nation's top recruiting groups, both individually and collectively. The transfer class is ranked No. 11 by on3Sports.com. The freshman class is listed at No. 15 by 247Sports.com. Georgia is one of only two programs to have both its freshman and transfer classes ranked in the top-20 nationally by On3Sports.com.

The Hall of Fame Series, which is owned and operated by Position Sports, is a collection of multi-game, singular events that will showcase several of the top collegiate basketball teams in exciting non-conference matchups played both domestically and abroad. In March, the Phoenix-based company and the Hall of Fame reached an exclusive 10-year agreement.

Additional Hall of Fame Series events this season include games at the Spectrum Center in Charlotte on Nov. 10, Coca-Cola Coliseum in Toronto on Dec. 9, the AT&T Center in San Antonio on Dec. 16 and the Footprint Center in Phoenix on Dec. 20.

The Hall of Fame Series joins other previously announced Naismith Hall of Fame events, including the Hall of Fame Tip-Off, Hall of Fame Women's Showcase, Hall of Fame Classic, and Jerry Colangelo Classic.
