Georgia Announces 2023 Season Schedule

ATHENS, Ga. – Highlighted by 10 NCAA Tournament teams, including a season opener against defending national champion UCLA, the University of Georgia soccer team announced its 2023 season schedule Wednesday afternoon.
The second season under head coach Keidane McAlpine includes 15 Power Five opponents, beginning with a West Coast trip to face UCLA on Thursday, Aug. 17 and McAlpine's former school USC on Sunday, Aug. 20. The matchup with the Bruins marks the second-consecutive season in which the Bulldogs have faced a defending champion, following a home date last season against Florida State.
The Bulldogs open the home slate with three consecutive matches against UCF (Aug. 24), Minnesota (Aug. 31), and Southern Miss (Sept. 3), followed by a road trip to Georgia Southern on Sept. 7. The non-conference schedule also includes home contests against Clemson (Sept. 10) and San Francisco (Sept. 17).
Georgia opens Southeastern Conference play on the road at College Cup semifinalist Alabama on Thursday, Sept. 14. The Bulldogs then host LSU on Sept. 21, followed by a road trip to Missouri on Sept. 24. The Bulldogs alternate home and away matches for the remainder of conference play, welcoming Vanderbilt (Sept. 29), Florida (Oct. 8), Kentucky (Oct. 19), and Auburn (Oct. 26) to Athens.
If the Bulldogs finish in the top 10 of the SEC standings, they will advance to the SEC Soccer Championship in Pensacola, Fla., beginning Sunday, Oct. 29.
