Six Georgia Riders Receive NCEA Ariat All-America Honors

ATHENS, Ga. --- Six student-athletes on the University of Georgia equestrian team were named to National Collegiate Equestrian Association Ariat All-America teams, the NCEA Selection Committee announced Thursday.  
 
Senior Ceci Bresch and junior Sophia Pilla were named to the First Team for Flat.  This is the second recognition for Pilla, who was named to the Second Team last season.  
 
Bresch, a native of Barrington, Illinois, rode to a 12-4 record and collected six Most Outstanding Performer honors.  She received a score of 90 or better in six meets during the regular season and was named to the SEC All-Championship Team.  
 
Pilla rode to a 13-3 record, including seven away wins.  The Ridgefield, Connecticut native won two MOP honors and rode to six scores of 90 or better.  She scored a 99 against South Carolina which is the highest score among all SEC riders this season and ties for the best score in program history. She is only the third Bulldog to achieve the near-perfect mark and the first since 2019. 
 
Junior Nora Andrews and sophomore Catalina Peralta were also recognized for their performances in Flat this season. Peralta was named to the Second Team after compiling a 8-4-2 record and one MOP. Andrews received Honorable Mention with a 9-5-1 record and three MOP honors, two of which were on the road. 
 
Junior Emma Reichow and sophomore Jillian Stopperich picked up Honorable Mention in Fences and Horsemanship, respectively.  Reichow holds an 8-6-2 mark in Fences with five MOP honors. She rode to 10 scores of 80 or better, three times against SEC opponents. This is the second recognition for Stopperich, who was named to the Second Team last season.  She compiled a 9-3 record and scored a 78.5 against top-ranked SMU, which is the highest among SEC riders this season.  
 
The Bulldogs are seeded sixth for the NCEA National Championship taking place April 13-15 at the World Equestrian Center in Ocala, Florida.  The Bulldogs will face Oklahoma State in the first round on Thursday, April 13 at 2:30 p.m.
