Bulldogs Fall to Buckeyes 4-0

COLUMBUS, Ohio — The fifth-ranked University of Georgia women's tennis team fell to 11th-ranked Ohio State 4-0 on Saturday afternoon, in non-conference action.
In doubles action, Ohio State (5-0) took two-of-three from Georgia (2-2). The tandem of Meg Kowalski and Mell Reasco picked up a 6-3 win on court two, while Lea Ma and Dasha Vidmanova dropped their doubles debut 6-3 to Kolie Allen and Danielle Wilson on court three. Despite an early advantage on court one, Guillermina Grant and Mai Nirundorn fell to Irina Cantos Siemers and Sydni Ratliff.
In singles, the Buckeyes swept the Bulldogs. No. 31 Vidmanova fell to No. 30 Cantos Siemers 6-4, 6-0, while Ania Hertel fell to Shelly Bereznyak 6-4, 6-2. The Buckeye clinched the match on court one, where No. 19 Ma fell to No. 15 Ratliff 6-4, 6-2
The Bulldogs will return to action on Friday, Feb. 10 in the First Round of the ITA National Team Indoors Championship in Seattle, Washington. The
