Brock Bowers Named Mackey Award TE Of The Week

ATHENS, Ga. --- Bulldog junior tight end Brock Bowers earned the John Mackey Award Tight End of the Week following his performance at Auburn, according to an announcement Wednesday.

Bowers won the 2022 Mackey Award and this marks the third year in a row that he has garnered a weekly honor from the award.

Bowers, a native of Napa, Calif., posted the ninth 100-yard receiving game of his career during his performance against the Tigers last weekend. He had a game-high eight receptions for a career-high 157 yards and a touchdown. He finished with four receptions for 121 yards during the Bulldogs' fourth quarter comeback, including the game-winning 40-yard scoring catch late in the final period.

The No. 1 Bulldogs (5-0, 2-0 SEC) play host to No. 20 Kentucky (5-0, 2-0) on Dooley Field in Sanford Stadium on Saturday. ESPN will televise the matchup at 7:05 p.m. SEC Nation will also be on campus Friday and Saturday.
