Holpfer’s Even-Par Effort Leads Bulldogs At Stanford

STANFORD, Calif. — Paced by an even-par 71 from Isabella Holpfer, Georgia women's golf team shot 301 in Saturday's second round of the Stanford Intercollegiate presented by Condoleezza Rice. The No. 23-ranked Bulldogs are in 19th place in the team field at the Stanford Golf Club.
Holpfer bounced back from a 6-over tally on Friday to record her second par-or-better score of the fall. Georgia also counted a 76 from Kate Song and a pair of 77s from LoraLie Cowart and Caterina Don.
No. 11 Southern California and Virginia share the team lead at 5-under 563, a stroke better than No. 7 UCLA and two shots ahead of No. 1 Stanford. Lauryn Nguyen of Northwestern and Zoe Campos of UCLA are tied atop the individual leaderboard at 6-under 136.
For Georgia, Cowart is tied for 41st at 146, Holpfer is tied for 61st at 148, Don is tied for 73rd at 151, Song is 92nd at 156 and Celine Brovold Sanne is 99th at 171.
