Craig Named To SEC Community Service Team

ATHENS, Ga. — Caroline Craig has been chosen as the Georgia women's golf team's representative on the 2022 SEC Community Service team, the league office has announced.
Craig, who also was named to the SEC Community Service team in 2021, is active with service projects both in Athens and her hometown of Sautee Nachoochee, Ga.
As a member of UGA's Student Athletic Advisory Committee (SAAC), Craig's activities included volunteering for Girl Power events for Athens Area Girl Scouts, assisting with efforts with the United Way to assemble care packages for the elderly, participating in Special Olympics activities at Foley Field, taking part in UGA's Relay for Life, contributing to efforts for Project Angel Tree and walking with elementary students in "Walk A Bulldog" to school as part of Safe Routes to School activities. She also led the golf team's adoption of a local girl for Christmas, which included picking out clothing, toys and other necessities.
In her hometown, Craig has assisted with White County Backpack buddies, which helps ensure students have nutritious meals over weekends; volunteered at Helen Baptist Church; co-led Fields of Faith as part of the FCA; and assisted with girls' golf clinics at Innsbruck Golf Club.
On the course, Craig has participated in eight tournaments during the 2021-22 season and produced one top-10 and three top-20 individual efforts. She placed fourth at the Lake Oconee Reynolds Invite and also finished in the top 20 at the Illini Invitational and the Lady Bulldog Invitational. Craig posted a 74.39 stroke average as a junior, including seven par-or-better loops in 23 rounds. She shot a career-best 3-under 213 to help lead Georgia to the team title at the Illini Invitational.
