QUICK HITS
The Bulldogs 
Trent Bryde, Blake Croyder, Mathis Debru, Erik Grevelius, Philip Henning, Britton Johnston, Tristan McCormick, Thomas Paulsell, Miguel Perez Peña, Hamish Stewart and Ethan Quinn make up the roster for the Georgia Bulldogs for the 2021-22 season. 
 
Georgia reappeared at the No.8 spot in the team rankings for the second week in a row in the latest Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) National Team Ranking released Wednesday, March 16.
 
Several Georgia men's tennis players were featured in the latest ITA National Rankings for singles and doubles that was released Wednesday, March 9.
 
Four Bulldogs appear in the singles rankings and four pairs in the doubles rankings. Graduate transfer Stewart leads the pack at No.19 and fellow grad transfer Tristan McCormick rings in at No.31. 2020 ITA All-American senior Philip Henning takes the No.40 spot and four-time ITA All-American senior Trent Bryde rounds out the pack at No.84.
 
For doubles, Bryde and Henning are ranked No.27, Stewart and McCormick are No.55, Henning and Stewart are the No.58-ranked doubles pair and senior Blake Croyder and junior Erik Grevelius take the No.62-ranking. 
 
Fantastic Freshman
Freshman Miguel Perez Peña delivered a win at the sixth singles court on Sunday, March 13, sealing the deal for No.8 Georgia over No.7 South Carolina in a 4-3 victory. Perez Peña ousted Casey Hoole, 6-4, 7-6 (4) to hand Georgia the clincher. He is now a perfect, 2-0 against conference competition with a 6-1, 6-4, win over Davide Tortora of No.24 Mississippi State.
 
Super-Senior, Super Singles
Tristan McCormick boasts an impressive 11-2 dual singles record and posts a pristine 3-0 record in conference play. The graduate transfer has made appearances on courts two, three and four and is in constant positive vocal presence for the Bulldogs. The No.31 singles player has won six out of his last 10 matches including a win over Connor Thomson of South Carolina to initiate the momentum swing in singles play for the Bulldogs. 
 
THE FIELD
MATCH 1: No 51 Arkansas
 
The Arkansas Razorbacks are represented by two singles players in the ITA National Rankings. Aleksa Bucan is ranked No.47 and Alexandre Reco is the No.95-ranked singles player. The Bulldogs own a 33-3 all-time series record against the Razorbacks. The last time Georgia and Arkansas faced off was on April 2, 2021, in Fayetteville, Ark. that ended in a Georgia 6-1 victory. 


MATCH 2: No.4 Tennessee 
 
The Tennessee Volunteers are represented in the ITA National Rankings by three singles players and four doubles pairs. The Volunteers have the No.4-ranked singles player in Johannus Monday, Adam Walton is ranked No. 18 and Emile Hudd is No.55. Hudd and Shusuke Mitsui are the No.16 doubles pair, Walton and Pat Harper are ranked No.45,  Harper and Monday are tied for the No.70 spot and Monday and Mark Wallner round out the group as the No.77-ranked doubles pair. 
 
The Bulldogs lead in the all-time series record against the Volunteers, 56-27. The last matchup between Georgia and Tennessee came in the 2021 NCAA Quarterfinals on May 20, 2021, in Orlando, Fla.  Despite taking the doubles point the bulldogs fell, 4-1 to the Volunteers.

The Georgia men's tennis program will stay on the road and travel to College Station, Texas to face the No.22 Texas A&M Aggies on Sunday, March 27 at 2 p.m. ET.
