Several Georgia men's tennis players were featured in the latest Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) National Ranking. The latest poll highlights the Top 125 singles players and Top 60 doubles teams within Division I Men's Tennis.

Five Bulldogs appear in the singles rankings and two pairs in the doubles rankings. 2020 ITA All-American Philip Henning leads the pack with a No. 23 ranking, Hamish Stewart-a graduate transfer from Tulane- comes in at No. 32, four-time ITA All-American and senior Trent Bryde takes the No. 62 spot, senior Blake Croyder at No. 110 and freshman Thomas Paulsell with a collegiate career milestone in his first ITA ranking at No. 119. In doubles, Bryde and Henning are ranked No. 21 and Henning and Stewart are ranked at No. 47.

The Field
No.7-ranked Georgia will travel to the state of North Carolina to compete against student-athletes from No. 24 NC State on Friday, February 4 and No.10 Wake Forest on Sunday, February 6.

The Wolfpack of NC State has two highly ranked athletes on their roster. Luca Staeheli is the No.3 newcomer and Robin Catry is ranked at No.36 in singles. The Demon Deacons of Wake Forest post a slew of athletes in the ITA rankings, five in singles competition and three doubles pairs. Jurabek Karinmove is the No. 7 newcomer, No.75 Filippo Moroni, Jakob Schaitter, No.100 Taha Baadi and No.117 Robert Maciag. For doubles Siddhant Banthia/Jakob Scnaitter are No.19, Ben Draper/Robert Maciag are No.26 and at No. 50 is Siddhant Banthia/Juan Lopez De Azcona.

ITA Kickoff Weekend
Georgia swept their competition in the 2022 ITA Kickoff Weekend Jan.30-31 to advance to the ITA Division I National Men's Team Indoor Championship. Acting as one of 15 host sites spread across the country, Georgia welcomed South Florida, VCU and Virginia Tech for the two days of competition. On Sunday, January 30, Georgia faced off against VCU boasting a 4-1 win with a clinch by Hamish Stewart on No.3 singles over Inigo Torre Martin. On Monday, January 31, Georgia recorded another 4-1 over South Florida after Philip Henning forced a third set over Ivan Yatusk and fought his way a win that clinched the victory for the Bulldogs.

ITA National Indoors
The Georgia men's tennis program is one of 16 teams to qualify for the ITA National Men's Indoor Championship in Seattle, Wash. Feb. 18-22. Six other SEC programs will join the Bulldogs in Seattle: No.1-ranked Tennessee, No.3 Florida, No.11 Kentucky, No.13 South Carolina, No. 14 Texas A&M and No. 15 Ole Miss. Every team ranked in the top ten in the country has advanced to ITA Indoors.
