QUICK KICKS
Tennessee Two-Step
Georgia continues a daunting SEC slate with a home matchup against No. 19 Tennessee, the fourth ranked opponent to play at Turner Soccer Complex this season. The Bulldogs have only earned a result in two of their last seven meetings with the Lady Vols, but they hold an 8-4-1 home record against Tennessee. With a win, Georgia would earn its first win over a ranked opponent since topping No. 5 LSU, 2-1, on Sept. 26, 2021.

Draw with the Dores
Georgia tallied its first tie of the season at Vanderbilt on Thursday evening, overcoming an early goal with an equalizer by Ellie Gilbert in the 16th minute. The draw marked the first result against Vanderbilt since a win in 2015, breaking a six-match losing streak. The Bulldogs' offense posted one of its top performances of the season, outshooting the Commodores, 12-5 (8-2 on frame), while the defense only allowed three Vandy corner kicks. Thursday's match saw seven starters play a full 90 minutes, with only a season-low 16 Bulldogs seeing the field.

Tidbits and Trends
Thursday's match was the first time this season in which Georgia posted a result despite scoring second and entering halftime tied. It also marked the first time this season that the Bulldogs failed to win a game despite outshooting its opponent. Additionally, the Bulldogs' 12 shots and eight shots on frame marked the most in non-winning contest since last season's SEC Tournament tie against LSU.

Spreading the Wealth
Through 13 matches, 15 different Bulldogs have scored this season, the second-most goal scorers in a single season. In the 1998 season, 16 different players netted a goal. In another sign of the Bulldogs' depth, 11 of Georgia's 30 goals this season (36.7 percent) have been scored by players coming off the bench.

Dawgs in the Polls
This week, Georgia ranks eighth in the United Soccer Coaches Southeast Region rankings and moved up to 43rd in the NCAA RPI rankings. The Bulldogs are one of nine SEC schools ranked in the top 50 of the RPI, including upcoming opponents Ole Miss and Mississippi State.

Beardsley Coming Up Big
Despite only having 45 minutes of previous experience under her belt, sophomore goalkeeper Liz Beardsley has impressed in her first full season in goal. After posting a shutout against Georgia Southern, Beardsley posted a solid performance against then-No. 1 Florida State, tallying six saves, including an outstanding leaping punch-save in the second half. During the season, she has posted six shutouts, tying her for 16th in the nation.

Graduates Nearing History
With her 28th-minute goal against FSU, graduate forward Dani Murguia reached 50 points in her career, moving closer to the top 10 in program history. With an assist against Georgia State, Murguia now sits only three behind Suzannah Weathersbee for the program career record (24) and will look to set a new top mark during the season.

Fellow graduates Abby Boyan and Cecily Stoute are also nearing the top of the program record books. Boyan has now appeared and started in 83 matches (tied for second in program history in starts), putting her on pace to eventually break the records held by Natalie Farley (88 appearances) and Carrie Patterson (87 starts). She is also now ranked fourth in shots (185) and seventh all-time in assists (18). Murguia (83 appearances) and Stoute (81 apps/starts) are also in line to eventually reach the top of the list as well.
