Fifty years ago, a groundbreaking federal legislation opened up a new universe for Georgia athletics. Title IX provided guidelines for women to be afforded equal opportunities as their male counterparts within intercollegiate athletics.
Soon thereafter, a new version of Glory was being brought to Old Georgia as "Lady Bulldogs" etched their names alongside the greatest athletes to ever wear the Red and Black.Â
