ATHENS, Ga. --- University of Georgia senior defender Caroline Chipman has been named to the women's soccer CoSIDA Academic All-District Team, the organization announced.
She will not be placed on the CoSIDA Academic All-America ballot. First-, second- and third-team All-America honorees will be revealed in July. She was honored with third-team recognition last season.
Chipman, an Atlanta native, maintained a 4.0 GPA in Finance. She was selected as Georgia's nomination for the H. Boyd McWhorter Scholar-Athlete Post-Graduate Scholarship in addition to being chosen as the female recipient of the 2019-20 Joel Eaves Award.
She is a defender that played in every game of her collegiate career and was an integral part of a Georgia defense that ranked in the top 10 for goals against average and fewest goals allowed in program history for a single season after three straight years. She also received numerous Presidential Scholar nods on the UGA Honor Roll.
