The Bulldogs closed out the set, scoring the last five points, with Evans getting three kills down the stretch to win the set 25-14 and evening up the match at a set each.
The Tigers came back with vengeance in the third set, quickly leading 6-2. The Bulldogs were able to pull within two after Stivrins picked up two kills, 8-6. The Tigers proved to be too much for the Bulldogs, however, as LSU pulled away to win the set 25-13.
LSU used their third-set momentum to start the fourth set with a 4-0 scoring run. The Bulldogs settled into the set and came back lead the set 9-7 with the help of two kills from Froemming.
