Georgia to Host UCF in Makeup Contest
March 15, 2021 | Men's Tennis
ATHENS, Ga. – The 20th-ranked University of Georgia men's tennis team will take on No. 21 UCF this Sunday in a makeup contest at the Dan Magill Tennis Complex with matches scheduled to begin at noon.
While the teams were originally slated to compete in February, competition was postponed due to concerns surrounding COVID-19.
The Bulldogs, who are coming off back-to-back wins on the road, first host No. 11 Wake Forest Friday at 5 p.m. before welcoming the Knights Sunday. UCF is currently on a five-match win streak and are 7-1 overall and 1-0 in the American Athletic Conference (AAC).
While still limited, matches will be open to the general public— 275 fans are welcome to attend on a first-come, first-serve basis.
Available seating will be marked in the grandstands, as well as the grass berm behind the lower courts. Fan seating will not be available in the men's and women's team clubhouses or in the playing level area adjacent to Court 3.
To enter the Dan Magill Tennis Complex, fans are encouraged to enter through the main entrance in front of the men's tennis club house. Masks are required at all times while moving throughout the facility. However, those in attendance may remove their masks once socially distanced in their seats.
Please note— if matches are moved indoors, fans will not be permitted to attend.
