Dreary Day at the ITA All-American

CHARLESTON, S.C. – The Georgia women's tennis team dropped all four of its singles matches on the wet clay at the 2021 Intercollegiate Tennis Association All-American Championships in Charleston, S.C. 

All four Bulldogs competed against ITA-ranked opponents. No. 19 Lea Ma and No. 66 Morgan Coppoc coveted in exhilarating three-set matches. Ma fell 7-5, 6-7(3), 7-6(3) to No. 10 Tatiana Makarova of Texas A&M, while Coppoc lost 6-4, 3-6, 7-5 to North Carolina's No. 78 Anika Yarlagadda.

Two bulldogs fell in straight sets. Southern California's No. 56 Eryn Cayetano defeated No. 19 Meg Kowalski 6-2, 6-4, and No. 111 Jaeda Daniel of NC State beat Mell Reasco 6-4, 7-5.

Kowalski and Ma will both compete in the main draw consolation matches this afternoon. Kowalski is set to take on Tulsa's No. 74 Laia Conde Monfort and Ma will square off against Pepperdine's No. 13 Victoria Flores.
