Georgia Announces 2021-22 Spectator Policy

October 07, 2021 | Swimming & Diving

ATHENS, Ga. – Following a season without spectators, the stands of Gabrielsen Natatorium will reopen to the public as the University of Georgia swimming and diving team announced Thursday afternoon that spectators will be permitted at home meets this season.

Spectators attending Georgia's five home meets are strongly encouraged to wear masks inside the natatorium, in accordance with the policies of the University System of Georgia.

As was the case last season, the University of Georgia Athletic Association and the Ramsey Center will work alongside local and national health guidelines to determine if any policy changes are warranted during the season.

Georgia's home schedule opens with a weekend doubleheader against North Carolina on Friday, Oct. 22 at 6 p.m. and South Carolina on Saturday, Oct. 23 at 11 a.m. The Bulldogs will return home for dual meets against Alabama, Tennessee, and Emory in January. Admission is free for all spectators.
