Croyder Win Highlights Day Two in Tulsa
October 05, 2021 | Men's Tennis
TULSA, Okla. – Georgia men's tennis senior Blake Croyder took down No. 58-ranked Siem Woldeab from Texas to highlight the second day of action for the Bulldogs at the Intercollegiate Tennis Association All-American Championships.
Croyder battled back and posted an impressive 7-6 (4), 7-5 victory against his talented Texas counterpart. Woldeab was a 2021 ITA All-American and saw time at the top three singles courts for the Longhorns last season.
Croyder faced another tough opponent in the afternoon session as he and UCF's Trey Hilderbrand locked up in a three-set affair, with Hilderbrand winning 6-3, 3-6, 7-5 to eliminate Croyder from the qualifying singles draw.
The Marietta, Ga., native will now team with Trent Bryde in the doubles main draw. They will join teammates Philip Henning and Hamish Stewart. Henning and Stewart will look to rebound from their loss on Tuesday.
Main draw singles and doubles actions begins Wednesday.
