Georgia Gymnastics Releases 2022 Schedule

ATHENS, Ga. --- The Georgia gymnastics team and head coach Courtney Kupets Carter have announced the 2022 schedule.

After the challenges that COVID-19 brought to the 2021 season, the GymDogs are preparing strong for a successful 2022. The experience of the returning GymDogs is the most in Kupets Carter's tenure at the helm, making it a season you don't want to miss.

The first event of the year will be the annual "First Look". It will be held in Stegeman Coliseum on Saturday, December 11.

The GymDogs will open the 2022 season on the road at Michigan on January 7, followed by a road Southeastern Conference meet at Kentucky on January 14.

The home opener in Stegeman Coliseum will be against the Martin Luther King Jr. Day Meet on Monday, January 17, featuring the Iowa Hawkeyes.

Then, the Florida Gators come to Athens on January 21, followed by the LSU Tigers on January 28.

The GymDogs hit the road again on February 11 for a meet at Alabama before returning home to host the Auburn Tigers (Feb. 18).

Georgia will travel to Arkansas to face the Razorbacks on February 25 before wrapping up regular season SEC competition with Missouri on March 4 in Stegeman.

Georgia will participate in a podium meet at the Elevate the Stage in Huntsville, Alabama featuring Alabama, Arkansas, and Auburn on Saturday, March 5.

The GymDogs return to Stegeman Coliseum for one more home meet against North Carolina on March 12.

The 2022 SEC Championship will be held in Birmingham, Alabama. on March 19.

The NCAA Regional Championship will be a two-day meet and will be held at one of six locations, March 31- April 2. The NCAA National Championship will once again be held in Fort Worth, Texas, and will run April 15-16.
