February 26, 2020 | Women's Basketball

ATHENS, Ga. —  Stephanie Paul, a senior forward on the Georgia Lady Bulldog basketball team, has been named to the 2020 Southeastern Conference Women's Basketball Community Service Team.

As Georgia's senior leader, Paul has dedicated her time off the court to several community service efforts. She routinely assists with Special Olympics and Relay for Life, while also visiting local elementary schools to mentor young children.

In 2019, she was selected as a Georgia Peach of an Athlete by the Boy Scouts of America and the Atlanta Sports Council. She has served as the team's Student-Athlete Advisory Committee representative three times and was a L.E.A.D. (Leadership Education and Development) inductee in October, 2018.

The Naples, Fla.,  native has helped the Lady Bulldogs win three of their last four games, including last Sunday's 73-56 win at LSU. The team travels to Lexington, Ky., on Thursday to take on the No. 15-ranked Kentucky Wildcats at 7 p.m. ET.

Paul will be honored prior to Sunday's contest against Florida as part of Senior Day festivities at Stegeman Coliseum. That matchup is slated to start at 1:10 p.m. ET.
