ATHENS, Ga. – The University of Georgia men's tennis team travels to Columbia, South Carolina, this weekend for its last road event of the fall 2020 campaign. Competition begins tomorrow and continues through Sunday, Oct. 25.

The weekend's matches will feature an all-conference slate that includes Texas A&M, Florida, South Carolina and Georgia.

"Our guys have worked hard the past two weeks and have been looking forward to competing again," Georgia head coach Manuel Diaz said. "We've got some great teams this weekend, and it will be a good challenge. We are ready for it."

Matches will be played in a round-robin format, with each matchup featuring a maximum of nine singles matches and four doubles matches. Individual winners will be announced for singles and doubles, and both individual players and teams will be allowed to play in multiple positions throughout the weekend. The singles winner will be decided by a points system – No.1 singles winner = 9 points, No. 2 singles winner = 8 points, etc. — while doubles winners will be assigned points based on maximum matches played per session.

Georgia's Trent Bryde was the highlight of a successful fall opener for the Bulldogs, going 3-0 in both singles and doubles. The 2020 ITA All-American teamed with fellow All-American Tyler Zink  to record a trio of doubles victories against Kentucky, Tennessee and South Carolina. The feat earned the Bulldog pair the 2020 SEC Gamecock Scramble doubles title.

Georgia is set to take on the Texas A&M Aggies tomorrow at 1:30 p.m. ET.

The Bulldogs will conclude their fall 2020 campaign at home Friday, Nov. 6-Sunday, Nov. 8, for the 53rd Annual Southern Intercollegiate Championships. Georgia will serve as host to Auburn, Florida and Ole Miss to wrap up fall competition.
