ATHENS, Ga. —  The Southeastern Conference announced the University of Georgia Lady Bulldog basketball team's 2020 league schedule on Wednesday.

The 16-game slate features eight home and eight away contests spread out from Jan. 2 through March 1. As part of the conference's schedule rotation, the Lady Bulldogs will play home and away games against both Mississippi State and Texas A&M, in addition to a pair of matchups against Florida.

This year's regular season concludes with the 2020 SEC Women's Basketball Tournament, which is being held for the third time at Bon Secours Wellness Arena in Greenville, S.C.  The tournament begins on Wednesday, March 4 and concludes with the championship game on Sunday, March 8.

Times and television designations for each of Georgia's 29 regular season games will be announced at a later date.

"When you play in the best conference in the nation, the schedule is always going to be a challenge, and that is no different this year," head coach Joni Taylor said. "I expect our league to be really competitive from top to bottom, which will create a lot of outstanding matchups throughout the conference season. I am thrilled that we have 18 opportunities to play in front of our fans at Stegeman Coliseum. We have some really great home matchups, and I know that both our fans and our team are very excited."

Georgia's non-conference schedule was announced in August and includes 10 home dates, highlighted with matchups against Georgia Tech (Nov. 17), Mercer (Nov. 21), Villanova (Nov. 24) and UCLA (Dec. 19).

This year's conference slate tips off on Jan. 2 against Ole Miss, followed by back-to-back home games against Mississippi State (Jan. 5) and Vanderbilt (Jan. 9). The Lady Bulldogs will then trek to Knoxville, Tenn., to take on the Lady Vols on Jan. 12.

The first of two bye weeks comes after the Tennessee game. That is followed by a home contest against Auburn (Jan. 19) and a road game at Arkansas (Jan. 23). The halfway point of the league schedule includes a stretch of games against South Carolina in Athens on Jan. 26, at Texas A&M on Jan. 30 and at Mississippi State on Monday, Feb. 3.

Georgia concludes its conference schedule with home games against Missouri (Feb. 6), Alabama (Feb. 16), Texas A&M (Feb. 20) and Florida (March 1) and away matchups against Florida (Feb. 9), LSU (Feb. 23) and Kentucky (Feb. 27).

The Lady Bulldogs return six of their top eight scorers to go along with another top-15 signing class this season. Season tickets are now on sale and can be purchased online at georgiadogs.com/tickets or by calling (706) 542-1231.
