St. Pete/Clearwater Elite Invitational Slate Announced

ATHENS, Ga. – The University of Georgia softball team has learned its opponents for the second St. Pete/Clearwater Elite Invitational presented by Wilson at the Eddie C. Moore Complex from Feb. 13-16, 2020.

The Bulldogs will take on Kansas and Northwestern on Friday, Feb. 14 followed by Texas Tech and UCLA on Saturday, Feb. 15. Georgia concludes play in Clearwater on Sunday, Feb. 16 against South Florida.

Georgia's slate is highlighted by the defending national champions UCLA. The Bulldogs and Bruins last met in 2017 in the Mary Nutter Collegiate Classic in California. Four of the five teams Georgia will face were NCAA Tournament programs in 2019 and three finished in the NFCA Top 25 Coaches Poll.

The 2020 St. Pete/Clearwater Elite Invitational will feature 16 teams and 39 collegiate games over the four-day tournament. All-tournament tickets are sold out; however, daily tickets are expected to go on sale in mid-October. 2020 will be the second year for the event.

The complete 2020 Georgia softball schedule will be announced next month.
