Bulldogs Stand Fourth In Linger Longer Invitational

GREENSBORO, Ga. --- The 12th-ranked Georgia men's golf team stands fourth after one round of the Linger Longer Invitational.

On Friday at The Landing Golf Course's  par-72, 6,991-yard layout, the Bulldogs fired a 3-under 285. Louisville grabbed the team lead at 10-under 278, followed by Liberty and UNC Greensboro, both at 6-under 282.

Junior Trevor Phillips paced the Bulldogs with a 3-under 69 as he posted seven birdies and landed in sixth, four shy of Louisville's Jiri Zuska. Junior Spencer Ralston followed with a 2-under 70, including six birdies, for 13th. Freshman Will Kahlstorf signed for a 1-under 71 and 20th, while sophomore Davis Thompson and freshman Trent Phillips each had a 3-over 75.

Playing as individuals, sophomore David Sikes recorded a 5-over 77, while junior Will Chandler and sophomore John Hilliard Catanzaro each notched a 7-over 79.

The Linger Longer Invitational will continue on Saturday and will conclude on Sunday.
