Georgia Ranked No. 3 in Final Rankings of the Fall

ATHENS, Ga. — The University of Georgia equestrian team finished the fall as the No. 3-ranked team in the nation, according to the National Collegiate Equestrian Association Selection Committee.
In addition to the team rankings, the Selection Committee announced the event rankings for the first time this season. Georgia's Fences and Flat squads sit at No. 2, behind Auburn, while the Horsemanship and Reining units came in at No. 9 and No. 8, respectively.
The Bulldogs rode to a 4-2 record after three straight road meets to finish the fall. Georgia riders earned a combined 12 Most Outstanding Performance honors and junior Jordan Carpenter was named Southeastern Conference (SEC) Co-Reining Rider of the Month in October. Jumping Seat riders scored an 85 or better 13 times in Fences and nine times in Flat, while Western riders scored above a 70 20 times in Horsemanship and 16 times in Reining.
The Bulldogs are back in action at Texas A&M on February 1 and will host the SEC Championship March 27-28.
