Trio of Bulldogs Earn ITA Top-20, Top-100 National Rankings

ATHENS, Ga. — A trio of University of Georgia men's tennis sophomores earned spots in the top-125 singles rankings, the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) announced Wednesday afternoon. Two of those Bulldogs also garnered a place in the top-60 doubles rankings. 

Philip Henning checks in as the 12th-ranked singles player in the nation, while Trent Bryde and Blake Croyder are ranked No. 57 and No. 88, respectively. 

Ranked No. 81 in ITA preseason rankings, Henning defeated four nationally-ranked opponents during the fall 2019 campaign. The South Africa native also competed in the ITA National Fall Championships, where he advanced out of the singles Round of 64 and Round of 32 matches. Georgia natives Croyder and Bryde recorded a combined 10 singles wins during the fall tour. 

Henning and Croyder earned the No. 17 spot in ITA doubles rankings for the fall 2019 season. The duo boasted eight wins in the fall, including four over nationally-ranked teams.
