STANFORD, Calif. — Georgia carded a 6-over 290 in Saturday's second round of the Stanford Intercollegiate, pushing the Bulldogs up two spots to 10th in the team field. The tournament features seven of the nation's top-15 teams competing at the Stanford University Course.
Freshman Caroline Craig's even-par 71 led Georgia on Saturday. The Bulldogs also counted a trio of 2-over 73s from freshman Caterina Don and sophomores Jenny Bae and Jo Hua Hung. Freshman Céleste Dao's 78 served as the Bulldogs' drop score. Kelsey Kurnett, who is competing as an individual, also shot 78.
On the individual leaderboard, Bae is tied for 22nd at 144, Don is tied for 40th at 147, Craig is tied for 47th at 148, Hung is tied for 54th at 149, Dao is tied for 69th at 151 and Kurnett is tied for 79th at 156.
Craig's steady day feature 15 pars. She spent a third of her loop at 2-under after an eagle at the par-5, 488-yard No. 7. On the back side, bogeys at No. 13 and No. 15 brought her back to even.
No. 14 Oregon sits atop the team leaderboard at 560. Rounding out the top-10 teams are No. 5 Arizona State at 563, No. 1 Stanford and No. 10 Arizona at 566, No. 3 Southern Cal at 567, No. 7 Florida at 570, UCLA at 578, Washington State and San Jose State and 583 and the Bulldogs at 584.
