ATHENS, Ga. — Georgia men's tennis sophomores Philip Henning and Blake Croyder advanced to the finals of the 2019 ITA All-America doubles consolation competition in Tulsa, Okla., to highlight Saturday's competition for the Bulldogs.

In the semifinals, Henning and Croyder performed to a 6-4, 6-2 victory over Radford's Rodrigo Magalhaes and Yevhen Sirous. The Georgia pair will compete in Sunday's doubles consolation finals slated for 10 a.m. CDT.

Four Bulldogs also competed in the first day of the 2019 Georgia Tech Fall Invitational. Despite a slow start for seniors Alex Phillips and Sam Dromsky— who fell to their doubles opponents earlier in the day— the two saw success in the afternoon's singles matches. Phillips defeated Auburn's Michael Durham [6-2, 3-6, 6-3], while Dromsky grabbed a 3-6, 6-4, 6-4 victory over Pablo Aycart Joya of Miami.

Despite falling, 6-4, to Miami team of Benjamin Hannestad and Franco Aubone, Georgia's freshmen team of Erik Grevelius and Mateo Reyes grabbed a consolation win. In a freshman showdown, Grevelius and Reyes defeated Jackets Andres Martin and Marcus McDaniel, 6-4.

Tomorrow's action will continue at both the ITA All-America Competition and the GT Fall Invite. In Tulsa, the doubles consolation finals is set to start at 10 a.m. ET. Tomorrow's competition in Atlanta will feature the singles quarterfinals and semifinals.
