Former Bulldogs Post Five First-Place Finishes at TYR Pro Series

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. -- Ten Bulldogs competed in the 2018 TYR Pro Swim Series, notching five first-place finishes and 28 top-8 times in 18 events overall.

Olivia Smoliga won the 50-meter backstroke with a time of 27.85. Hali Flickinger claimed the 200-meter butterfly, stopping the clock at 2:07.21. Melanie Margalis secured victory in the 200-meter individual medley, clocking in at 2:10.43.

Chase Kalisz won the 200-meter individual medley in 1:57.68. Nic Fink took the 50-meter breaststroke with a time of 27.34.

Fink was part of the 200-mixed medley relay that took first and Smoliga was on the team that took third in that event as well. Meeghan Raab also competed but did not place in the top-8Â
