2018-19 Schedule

ATHENS, Ga. – Returning to Athens in February for the sixth time, the swimming and diving Southeastern Conference Championships highlight one of nine home events in the University of Georgia swimming and diving 2018-19 itinerary.

"We feel like we've assembled a schedule that will consistently challenge us throughout the year and prepare us for the postseason," Tom Cousins Swimming and Diving Head Coach Jack Bauerle said. "We're especially looking forward to everyone making their way to Athens for SEC's. Our league is ultra competitive, and that still may be an understatement. We're excited to have some of the best swimmers and divers in the world at our place in February."

Georgia will be joined by its SEC counterparts at Gabrielsen Natatorium from Feb. 19-23 for the first time since 2014, when the women's team became the first women's program in Georgia history to capture five straight conference titles.

The Bulldog women kick off 2018-19 competition in Fayetteville, Arkansas on October 13 before the men's and women's teams open their home slate with Florida on Oct. 26. Georgia closes out the fall dual portion of the schedule in the first weekend of November against South Carolina in Athens.

The Bulldogs welcome competitors to Gabrielsen Natatorium for the annual Georgia Fall Invitational from November 29 to December 1, followed by the Georgia Diving Invitational from January 4 to January 6 at the start of the 2019 calendar year.

Georgia prepares for the SEC Championships in February with four dual meets, highlighted by a Georgia-Texas matchup in Athens. The Longhorns' men's team captured its fourth-straight title in 2018, while the women finished in the top-five.

The Bulldogs' 2018-19 lineup culminates in Austin, Texas with the NCAA Championships at the end of March.

Bauerle enters his 40th season at the helm of the seven-time national championship swimming and diving program. He is joined by first-year head coach Chris Colwill in the diving arena, as well as senior associate head coach Harvey Humphries and associate head coaches Brian Smith, Jerry Champer and Stefanie Williams Moreno, who was recently named to the associate head coach title.

Williams Moreno was also named to the U.S. 2018 Pan Pacific Championship staff as an assistant coach this week, priming six former Bulldogs for the Pan Pac competition from August 9-12 in Tokyo next week. Junior Bulldog Javier Acevedo will also head to Tokyo, representing the Canadian team on the world stage.
