1st Pitch Banquet Featuring Kyle Farmer Set For Feb. 9

ATHENS-----Tickets are now on sale to attend the University of Georgia's 1st Pitch Banquet in the Sanford Stadium West End Zone Lounge on Saturday, Feb. 9 featuring Bulldog great and Los Angeles Dodger Kyle Farmer and the 2019 Georgia baseball team.
The highlights of the dinner event include hearing from Farmer, meeting the 2019 Georgia Bulldogs and coaching staff plus a silent and live auction.
Doors open at 5:30 p.m. with the dinner to begin at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $100/person ($75 for former Bulldog baseball players). A table for 10 is $850. The deadline to reserve your seat(s) or table is Feb. 4.
Farmer, a native of Atlanta, was a four-year starting shortstop for the Bulldogs from 2010-13. He posted a .308 career batting average with 18 home runs, 63 doubles and 168 RBI. He owns the highest career fielding percentage by a Georgia shortstop at .968. An Academic All-SEC member, he earned team MVP honors in 2011 and served as the starting shortstop for Team USA in the summer of 2012.
An eighth-round draft pick as a catcher by the Dodgers in 2013, he made his MLB debut in 2017. His first hit was a pinch-hit, two-run walk-off double to beat San Francisco in 11 innings. Farmer has played catcher, first base and third base for Los Angeles and has been a part of teams that have advanced to the World Series the past two seasons. He and his wife, Courtney, were married last month.
Ike Cousins head baseball coach Scott Stricklin is in his sixth season leading the Bulldogs. Georgia returns 24 lettermen plus welcomes 10 newcomers. The 2019 college baseball season opens Feb. 15.
