END OF SEASON NOTES and STATS

ATHENS, Ga. ---
The 2018 University of Georgia soccer season came to an end after completing a tough schedule that featured five opponents ranked in the Top 25 and eight teams that advanced to the NCAA Tournament.

Georgia (4-9-5, 1-6-3 SEC) won three games at home against Charlotte, Georgia State, and Arkansas on top of playing to five draws after double overtime.  Nine of Georgia's games this season were determined by one goal or less with three scoreless games of 110 minutes.

UGA ranked 12th in the NCAA in accumulative attendance and third in the SEC with 11,974, while ranking 20th in the NCAA in average attendance and fourth in the SEC with 1,089.

The Bulldogs' starting lineup consistently featured all sophomores and freshmen with seven newcomers starting eight games or more.  Sophomore forward Reagan Glisson led the Bulldogs in goals (7), points (17), and shots (59). Freshman forward Abby Boyan, who also played at the midfield and defender positions, scored four goals with two assists and 26 shots.

The Bulldogs went 3-3-2 in non-conference play before opening SEC action with a win against Arkansas at home.  This was the first time Georgia started 1-0 in the SEC since 2013.

Georgia then played to a tie against Missouri before facing four ranked SEC opponents in five games.  The Bulldogs and then-No. 17 Volunteers of Tennessee fought to a 0-0 tie after double overtime.

Sidelined after suffering an ACL tear in preseason, sophomore Mollie Belisle of Atlanta was named to the SEC Community Service Team.

Freshman defender Cecily Stoute, also from Atlanta, was named to the SEC All-Freshman Team. She is the first SEC All-Freshman player from Georgia since now-senior Sydney Shultis in 2015.

As a standout of the Georgia defense, Stoute started in 17 of Georgia's 18 games this season with the exception of the game at Auburn when she played for Trinidad and Tobago in the CONCACAF World Cup Qualifiers against Mexico and the United States.

Stoute played a pivotal role in Georgia's five shutouts throughout the 2018 campaign. Despite missing one game, she led the team in minutes played (1615) and contributed to Georgia's attack. Stoute dished out one assist and four shots with three on target this season.
