ATHENS — Six Georgia men's tennis players — Alex Diaz, Alex Phillips, Blake Croyder, Britton Johnston, Robert Loeb and Sam Dromsky — will make the short drive to Atlanta this weekend for the 2018 Georgia Tech Fall Invitational.
The event is scheduled to run from Friday through Sunday with players from six teams set to compete. Joining Georgia will be student-athletes from Tech, Virginia Tech, Georgia State, South Carolina, Vanderbilt and South Alabama.
Admission is free throughout the weekend and parking is available in the Family Housing Lot, located on 10th street. Live stats can be found by clicking here.
The six Bulldogs participating are looking to be build on their already impressive fall seasons. Loeb, who is 5-2 in singles, started the fall campaign by advancing to the Southern Intercollegiates finals match. He has also teamed with Jan Zielinski to boast a 7-2 mark in doubles.
Georgia's two freshmen — Croyder and Johnston — have combined for nine victories already this fall. Dromsky and Phillips teamed together to win the doubles championship at the Southern Intercollegiates, before Phillips teamed with Croyder for another doubles title at the South Carolina Fall Invite.
This will be one of the last fall events for the Bulldogs. Seniors Zielinski and Emil Reinberg will compete in the 2018 ITA Fall Championships on Nov. 7-11 in Surprise, Arizona to close out the 2018 slate.
