Coaches Tab Caliya Robinson Preseason All-SEC
October 30, 2018 | Women's Basketball
ATHENS — Caliya Robinson, a senior on the Georgia Lady Bulldogs basketball team, has been named to the 2018-19 Coaches Preseason All-SEC First Team, the conference office announced on Tuesday.
This represents the third preseason honor for the Marietta, Georgia native. She was also named to the Katrina McClain Award Watch List and was tabbed preseason All-SEC by media.
Robinson enters her final year in Athens just 80 blocks shy of breaking the school record for career blocked shots (297 by Tawana McDonald, 1998-2002). She finished as one of five finalists for the Katrina McClain award last season and is the only returning SEC player to rank in the top-20 in scoring, rebounding, blocks and steals in 2017-18.
In addition to her preseason honor, the coaches picked Georgia to finish third behind Mississippi State and South Carolina. The coaches' preseason selections are listed below.
