TALLAHASSEE, Fla. --- After falling to host and No. 4 Florida State (53-6-1) in the day's first game, the No. 25 Georgia softball team (35-22) bounced back with a win against Jacksonville State (41-12) to advance to the NCAA Tallahassee Regional Championship.

The Bulldogs fell 7-1 to the Seminoles before capitalizing on 11 hits en route to an 8-2 victory against JSU. Georgia will get a rematch with FSU on Sunday at noon ET with the if-necessary game at 2:30 p.m. ET.

In the later game, Cortni Emanuel guided the offense with three hits while Sydni Emanuel and Mahlena O'Neal tabbed two each against three JSU pitchers. Amanda Ablan started the game in the circle, allowing the three JSU's hits and runs before Kylie Bass (9-3) posted a hitless 3.1 frames to notch the win.

Georgia jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the second with a RBI double from O'Neal while the catcher would score later on a bunt single from C. Emanuel. A solo JSU home run cut into the lead, but a sacrifice fly from Maeve McGuire and Lacey Sumerlin's fifth home run of the season made it 4-1.

JSU added one in the fourth, but a four-run sixth inning highlighted by a Sydni Emanuel RBI single and a two-run error let Georgia cruise to the victory.

FSU took game one after four home runs lifted the Seminoles to a 7-1 win.

The Bulldogs left six on base, including in the second with them loaded. Sumerlin got things started with a single before advancing on a two-out hit from Brea Dickey. With O'Neal loading them up after a hit, it was the first of two times in the game that Georgia put a runner on third. The second time would see Dickey score on a Jordan Doggett single in the seventh.

Brittany Gray (18-11) took the loss, giving up six hits and four walks. Ablan came in as relief in the sixth, allowing one hit. The Bulldogs finished with six hits off of Meghan King (26-2), as Dickey led the Georgia lineup with two.
