Forlini Paces Bulldogs In Tennessee Invite

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. --- Ian Forlini came in ninth in the men's 3-meter springboard competition on Wednesday to highlight Georgia's efforts in the Tennessee Diving Invitational at the Allan Jones Intercollegiate Aquatic Center.
Forlini, a junior from Warminster, Pa., rolled up 330.70 points in the finals to take ninth. Top honors went to Tennessee's Liam Stone with 418.85 points. Forlini entered the finals in 11th after scoring 313.20 points in the prelims.
Also on 3-meter, Charlie Clifton placed 16th with 299.50 points and Walker Wheeler took 27th with 244.70 points.
In the women's 1-meter springboard event on Wednesday, Allison Greene came in 35th with 214.35 points and Kelly Thatcher placed 48th with 174.40 points.
The Tennessee Diving Invitational will conclude on Thursday with the men's and women's platform competition starting at 11:30 a.m. Results can be found at DiveMeets.com.
