"Suzanne and Sarah" To Feature in SECN Takeover

ATHENS, Ga. — The ESPN documentary "Suzanne and Sarah," which details one of the premiere rivalries in college gymnastics between Georgia and Alabama, will air on the SEC Network on Tuesday at 5:30 a.m. as part of Georgia's SEC Network Takeover.
"Suzanne and Sarah" depicts the relationship between legendary Georgia coach Suzanne Yoculan and Alabama's Sarah Patterson, who in 25 years combined to win 14 national championships and 21 SEC titles while cultivating one of the fiercest rivalries in the sport's history.
The "takeover" is an annual event run by ESPN in which the network dedicates 24 hours of programming to each of the Southeastern Conference's 14 schools. Georgia's slate begins at midnight of Tuesday, July 26.
The film, directed by Joie Jacoby, was made as part of the "SEC Storied" series on the SEC Network.

1:30 a.m. — Georgia vs. Florida (Football - Nov. 8, 1980): The last minute 93-yard miracle touchdown pass from Buck Belue to Lindsay Scott kept Georgia undefeated and moved the Dawgs into the top spot in the national polls.
3:30 a.m. — 2008 NCAA Super Regional Final (Baseball - June 8, 2008): Paced by seven home runs, including two from All-America shortstop Gordon Beckham, the Diamond Dogs earned a trip to the College World Series with a dominant 17-8 win over N.C. State.
5:30 a.m. — SEC Storied: Sarah & Suzanne -- ESPN Films documents the story of two women dominating college gymnastics, while creating one of the most heated rivalries in SEC history.
6:30 a.m. — 2001 Women's Basketball SEC Tournament Final (March 4, 2001): The Lady Bulldogs defeated Vanderbilt in dramatic, buzzer-beating fashion and captured the fourth SEC Tournament title in the program's history.
8:00 a.m. — 2016 NCAA Women's Swimming and Diving Championships (March 25, 2016): Georgia held off Stanford and Cal to win its seventh national team championship.
10:00 a.m. — 2012 Men's Basketball vs. Florida (Feb. 25, 2012): Kentavious Caldwell-Pope scored 18 points as the Bulldogs upset 11th-ranked Florida at Stegeman Coliseum.
12:00 p.m. — 2016 NCAA Super Regional Final (Softball - May 27, 2016): Pinch hitter Kaylee Puailoa hit a dramatic two-run homer in the seventh inning to defeat top-ranked, top-seeded Florida and send the Bulldogs to the Women's College World Series.
2:00 p.m. — 2000 Outback Bowl (Jan. 1, 2000): Georgia posted its biggest comeback in the program's bowl history, erasing a 25-0 deficit and defeating Purdue 28-25 in overtime.
4:00 p.m. — Beneath the Helmet: a series of special features that highlight team members and and focus on their stories and what brought them to the University of Georgia, and what it means to be a Georgia Bulldog.
5:00 p.m. — Best of the Bulldogs: a magazine style show that will highlight some of the best feature stories from Georgiadogs.com, including the Devon Gales story and the Cancer Awareness Day at football in September of 2015.
6:00 p.m. — 1980 National Championship Game (Football - Jan. 1, 1981): Freshman Herschel Walker rushed for 150 yards and two touchdowns, leading Georgia to a 17-10 victory over Notre Dame and completing the season as the nation's only undefeated, untied team, and the consensus national champions.
8:00 p.m. — Kirby Smart All-Access: an inside look at the spring practice and the Bulldogs' preparations for the ''93K Day'' that set the SEC Attendance record for Spring football games.
8:30 p.m. — 1997 Georgia vs. Florida (Football - Nov. 1, 1997): Robert Edwards scored four touchdowns and Kirby Smart had a pair of interceptions as Georgia soundly defeated No. 6 Florida 37-17 in Jacksonville.
10:30 p.m. — 1983 NCAA East Regional Final (Men's Basketball - Mar. 27, 1983): Given long odds at advancement, the 1983 Bulldogs reached the Final Four by upending the East Regional's top two seeds, first No. 1 St. John's and then North Carolina in the championship game.
