TUSCALOOSA, Ala. -- The No. 3-ranked Georgia men's golf team remained in first place on Tuesday following the second round of the Tuscaloosa Regional at Ol' Colony Golf Complex.

Led by 2-under rounds from senior Lee McCoy and freshman Tye Waller and with junior Greyson Sigg and sophomore Zach Healy staying atop the individual leaderboard, the Bulldogs fired a 6-under 282 on Tuesday to move to 10-under 566. Georgia leads South Carolina by three, Kentucky by eight, Alabama by 10 and Auburn by 18. The top five schools at the conclusion of the Regional on Wednesday will advance to the NCAA Championships May 27-June 1 in Eugene, Ore. Georgia will enter the final round 27 strokes better than the sixth-place squads.

McCoy, the SEC Player of the Year, and Waller each signed for 2-under 70s in the second round. They combined for 12 of Georgia's 16 counting birdies on Tuesday. Sigg and Healy each added 1-under 71s, while senior Sepp Straka had the Bulldogs' non-counting score of 2-over 74.

Sigg and Healy share the 36-hole lead with Kentucky's Tyler McDaniel at 5-under 139, one shot better than South Carolina's Matthew NeSmith. Sigg and Healy will be gunning for their third and second wins of the year, respectively, on Wednesday.

McCoy moved to 14th at 1-over 145, followed by Straka at 3-over 147 and Waller at 5-over 149.

"We were able to persevere again today," said Coach Chris Haack, who was greeted by surprise guest Kirby Smart before Tuesday's round. "This golf course shows its teeth in several places and you just have to manage your way through those holes. We're happy to be in the position we're in heading to the last day. We'll come out on Wednesday and see if we can close things out strongly."

Live results and tee times can be found at GolfStat.com. Georgia will tee off on Wednesday at 9:45 a.m. along with South Carolina and Kentucky.
